Custom soft enamel keychains are a popular choice for brands, events, and creative merchandise.

This style is made by filling recessed metal areas with colored enamel while keeping raised metal lines on top. The result is a clean, colorful design with a slightly textured, dimensional metal finish that looks more premium than flat printing.

Soft enamel works especially well for logos, mascots, and artwork with strong color separation, turning your design into a physical product with more depth and detail.

Pricing is based on size and quantity. Larger orders significantly reduce the unit cost, making it a great option for promotional campaigns, retail products, and bulk giveaways.

Why Choose Custom Soft Enamel Keychains?

Most customers choose soft enamel keychains because they offer a great balance of appearance, cost, and practicality.

They have a more detailed and premium feel than simple printed keychains, while still staying affordable for larger orders. This makes them a smart choice for brands, events, clubs, schools, artists, and promotional campaigns.

Soft enamel is also a flexible option for many types of designs. Whether you want something bold, colorful, fun, or brand-focused, it can help turn your idea into a custom keychain that feels more polished and memorable.

For bulk orders, it is especially cost-effective. You can create a custom product that looks professional without pushing the budget too high.

If you want a custom keychain that looks good, is easy to order in quantity, and works well for both giveaways and retail products, soft enamel is usually one of the safest choices.

FAQ

Custom Soft Enamel Keychains FAQ

Common questions about soft enamel keychain materials, colors, molds, plating, and quality.

Soft Enamel vs. Hard Enamel: What’s the difference, and which looks more premium?

The Difference: Soft enamel has recessed colors and raised metal borders, giving it a tactile 3D, textured feel with a retro or streetwear vibe. Hard enamel is repeatedly polished until the surface is flat and smooth, offering a more jewelry-like, high-end luster.

Our Recommendation: Streetwear brands, anime merchandisers, and indie artists often love the classic look and feel of soft enamel. For corporate gifts or luxury brand swag, hard enamel is usually the better choice.

Can you do color gradients or very fine text/lines with Soft Enamel?

Color Limits: Soft enamel does not support gradients or shading. It uses solid liquid pigments filled into metal pockets, so each color needs to be separated by metal lines. We offer solid colors with precise PMS Pantone matching.

Line Limits: Metal lines and colored areas should be at least 0.2mm wide. If your text is too small or lines are too thin, the metal may not cast properly. For highly detailed artwork, digital printing can be a better option.

Do I have to pay a mold fee for my first order? Can I mix different designs to hit the MOQ?

Mold Fees: Yes. Soft enamel requires a custom steel mold to stamp the metal base. This is a one-time fee per design. We keep your mold for free for 2 years, so exact reorders do not require another mold fee.

Mixing Designs: No. Each design requires its own steel mold and production setup, so the minimum order quantity must be met per design.

What plating metal colors are available? Will it rust or chip over time?

Plating Options: We offer shiny gold, shiny nickel silver, rose gold, antique bronze, and black dye finish.

Durability: Our enamel paints are baked and cured at high temperatures for strong adhesion, so they will not chip under regular use. The base metal is high-grade zinc alloy, making it highly rust-resistant. We still recommend avoiding long exposure to harsh chemicals or saltwater.

What if my order arrives with quality issues, such as scratches, wrong colors, or defects?

Our Guarantee: We stand behind every item we make. Just send us photos or videos of the flawed items. Once a production defect is confirmed, we will remake and ship them for free, or issue a refund for the affected portion.
